Hey, this reminded me that my “blog’s” birthday was on Monday. Happy Birthday blog! This is the longest I’ve ever gone without scrapping the entire thing and starting over.
Of course, I realize, my experience isn’t synonymous with meeting a girl that I will later marry, but hey it’s all I got (tear). :-)

The cool thing about this picture is I just happened to be listening to Pink Floyd “Learning To Fly” on my headphones as they taxi’d by. It was my own personal soundtrack. Click here to listen.

I’ve not smoked a cigarette since Thursday morning around 3AM. I woke up that morning and had one left. I threw it in the trash. Later, I dug it out and smoked it. That was it. Right now, I’m taking it one day at a time. That’s what they say to do when you’re an alcoholic. The alcoholic says every day, “I’m may drink again someday, but for today, I’m not going to drink.” They do this because it’s too much to take to say, “I’ll never drink again” and you’re setting yourself up for failure if you believe that. I’ll take the same attitude towards smoking. I may smoke again one day, but for today, I won’t. Not that it’s too much to take. It’s just an illustration I suppose.
I was talking to the lady that cut my hair this morning and we were talking about new year’s resolutions. She said that her husband planned to quit dipping on the 1st of January, but decided to move it back a month in order to get away from the cliche’ new year’s resolution that everyone breaks. I remember thinking that same thing when I started exercising consistently on February 1st. I wanted it to be real and not cliche’. That decision to exercise consistently has changed my life and attitude drastically in only a couple months. I plan to keep this habit for a very long time. I hope nothing ever takes priority away from exercise because I now know I need it as much as food.

Check out the camera phone entry. I rolled my truck over 12000 miles last Wednesday and today I rolled over 13000 miles. That’s ridiculous.
That’s probably insignificant to you and you’re wondering why in the world I’m sharing the mileage on my pickup with everyone. The answer: It’s mainly for me. So, I’ll know how long it typically takes me to drive a 1000 miles. It usually takes a month if I stay in Wichita and just go to work and back and go across town once or twice a week. I drove 1000 miles this week because I went to Oklahoma twice. Once last Wednesday (round trip in one day) and then again on Saturday and stayed until Sunday. So, I completely understand where all those miles went.
So, really, that’s all I got to say about that.

Cory looks kind of out of place with all them girls.

I am in Oklahoma today. It’s the second time this week that I’ve been down here.
Had a big dinner at my dad’s yesterday.
Went out with my brother and cousin last night.
Spent the day today working on reading for my class on Tuesday night and watching OSU kick butt in basketball.
I’m at my mom’s right now about to eat dinner and then drive back to Wichita. I just found this picture on her computer and thought that it’d make a good post.
Sorry, I haven’t been posting on here that much lately. Just don’t have that much to say or that I want to share.

This was found on the ground near the golf course and given to me.
Sarge likes it and I’m suprised he hasn’t tore the stuffin out of it yet. I think it’s pretty funny.

For those that don’t know, I started smoking again around the middle of last year. I’m not sure exactly when, but it started out slow (1 or 2 a day) and now I’m up to a pack a day. I quit in October 2002 and I guess I didn’t smoke for about 8 months. I’m starting the journey again and I think that I’ll post information about it as I go along. I’m normally a very private person about this issue (except around people that accept it and usually if you’re silent about it then you accept it). So, I thought that I’d get it out in the open and out of my comfort zone.
The Air Force offers a smoking cessation program/classes and I’ve signed up for them. They started last Thursday. I missed the first class through no fault of my own. My homework for this week is to fill out a sheet that listed both the pros and cons of quitting and continuing to smoke. I scanned my responses and here they are for all to see.

My apologies if this is hard to read. I felt it was more personal and “real” to show in my own handwriting as opposed to typing it out.

I went to Wal-Mart. On the way home, I was stopped at a light and I looked over and this girl is staring at me licking her lips and fingers. I’m not making this stuff up. She was pretty cute, but looked young, but, of course, you don’t see girls my age doing that stuff (except Tracey, she’d probably do that). As a first instinct, I rolled my eyes at her. A couple seconds later, I looked over there and she was still staring, but this time she mouthed, “I’m just kidding,” I mouthed, “I know” and my light changed. In hindsight, I should’ve at least went along with the immaturity (or got her phone number or something). That would have been fun. :0)

I went to Best Buy today. I bought a CD. I had two that I picked out, but I was only going to buy one. Both were the same price. One of them I knew was good but old and another that I wasn’t sure about but it was new and I liked at least one song on it. For some reason, I picked the newer of the two. After opening it, it took me about 5 minutes to realize that it sucked and I should never buy a CD out of the “rap” section even if it’s got members of Linkin Park on it. I’ll call that a tax on the stupid, much like the lottery is a tax on the mathematically challenged.
